This study deals with the behavior and geophysical parameters, such as compression index, coefficient of consolidation, and so on, for the sedimentation and self-weight consolidation of soft soil sediments.

The study particularly focus on effective stress increasement and its duration according to time and location.

In addition there will be an effort to examine the cause of the over consolidation behavior of the soft soil sediment based on experimentation using elastic and electro-magnetic wave techniques.
